Reinforced Gabions-Heavy Hexagonal Wire Twisted Woven Gabions
Reinforced gabions is also called reinforced heavy-duty hexagonal wire netting woven twisted gabions, made of reinforced heavy-duty hexagonal mesh fabric offering a higher tensile strength than that of ordinary wire mesh. The diameter of the reinforced wire is generally not less than the diameter of the edge wire.
The reinforced gabion cage has the mesh extending into the soil to increase the huge anti-skid force and have good environmental compatibility.
The heavy-duty hexagonal mesh coated with plastic is used to make gabion cages and directly fix them on mountain slopes and side ditches to protect soil erosion, mudslides and rock falling from mountains. The raw iron wire of the heavy hexagonal wire netting is coated with PVC plastic coating, and the thickness of the plastic coating is about 1mm.
Zinc-5% aluminum alloy coated and plastic coating: A PVC protective layer is coated on the surface of the zinc-5% aluminum coated steel wire, and then woven into various specifications of hexagonal mesh. This layer of PVC protective layer will greatly increase the protection in the high pollution environment, and through the choice of different colors, it can be integrated with the surrounding environment.
Reinforced Gabions have two types:
One is made of reinforced wire mesh, the other is hexagonal mesh with added mesh panel behind the gabion.
Heavy duty hexagonal wire twisted woven gabions
A. Reinforced mesh: wire mesh verticallly or parallelly along the weaving direction when weaving the wire mesh. Reinforced hexagonal mesh has stronger tensile-strength than ones of common hexagonal wire meshes. Besides, the diameter of reinforced wire should be greater than that of edge wire. Under the condition of strong basic tensile stress, reinforced mesh will absorb and fundamentally weaken the tensile stress caused by the traffic or the crack.
B Reinforced gabions box: With added mesh panel of heavy hexagonal wire mesh behind the box and the mesh panel penetrates the soil deeply. Skid resistance will be produced by the friction of the soil mass and the mesh panel. Reinforced gabion box has good enviormental compatibility.
